5.2 Metric: Mobile Performance

5.2 Metric: Mobile Performance (10 points)

Mobile traffic now constitutes the majority of web usage. A high-performing mobile experience is not a luxury; it is a requirement. We use Google's own Core Web Vitals (CWV) as the primary benchmark.

  • Largest Contentful Paint (LCP): Measures loading performance. To provide a good user experience, LCP should occur within 2.5 seconds of when the page first starts loading.

  • Interaction to Next Paint (INP): Measures interactivity. A good INP is considered to be below 200 milliseconds.

  • Cumulative Layout Shift (CLS): Measures visual stability. A good CLS score is 0.1 or less.

Platforms that pass all three CWV assessments on mobile receive the maximum score.
