# 3.2 Metric: Licensing Clarity

This metric assesses how the platform handles the most critical piece of regulatory information.

* **Prominence (5 points):** The UKGC license number of a reviewed operator must be clearly displayed within the main body or summary box of the review. Hiding it in the footer or omitting it entirely is penalized.
* **Verification Encouragement (5 points):** The platform should actively encourage users to verify the license on the official UKGC public register and, ideally, provide a direct link to do so.

> **Rationale:** Simply stating a casino is "licensed" is insufficient. A high-quality review empowers the user to verify information themselves, fostering a culture of due diligence.
